  • If you think that you are awkward in front of the camera, you are not alone! This is something I hear from 90% of my clients. The truth is, you have nothing to worry about. One of the most common things I hear from my clients after a shoot is, “Wow, I actually had fun!” I am here to make you feel comfortable and guide you throughout the shoot in a natural and comfortable way to achieve authentic images.

  • We will always capture a wedding day with film and digital cameras. Film has a special look and feel that is difficult to replicate with digital equipment. Our digital editing style mimics the colors of 35mm film while maintaining a realistic interpretation of the day’s colors.

  • Yes! I am a certified SUAS pilot under Part 107, and I do include drone footage/photography with most weddings. A drone is an aircraft, and all drone flights are subject to FAA regulations. Many factors can impact our ability to fly at any given event. For this reason, we do not promise drone footage. However, we will always fly the drone and capture aerial imagery when we can.

  • We work with a variety of digital and analog cameras.

Our current list of gear includes: Canon EOS R3 & R5, Fujifilm GFX 100 II, Contax 645, G2, T2, Holga 120N, Polaroid

  • Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. My editing ensures you have a cohesive set of images that accurately and beautifully showcase your day.

  • All photo packages include high-resolution digital files delivered via a curated online gallery. Photo albums are not included.

  • I don't put a limit on the number of images, but typically you can expect 50-75 final images per hour of coverage. However, every wedding day is unique and the number of delivered images will always vary.

  • You may decide to book us for photography, cinematography, or both! If you book us for either, Zach and Dune will photograph or film your wedding as a duo. If you book us for both, Zach will be your photographer and Dune will be your cinematographer. For these weddings we will typically also include one second photographer and one second videographer.

  • Turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 4-6 weeks after your wedding. We also usually send a preview 24-48 hours after your wedding so you will have some highlights right away.

  • Yes! We are based in Santa Barbara, but love to travel anywhere! We have a flat travel fee depending on the destination, and we manage travel and accommodations ourselves.

  • Yes, my business is incorporated as an LLC and is covered through my business policy. We can always supply a COI upon request.

  • Typically we shoot all of our weddings together as a duo. If we are booked for photo + cinema, Zach will lead photography and Dune cinematography. Sometimes we bring one or more assistant photographer(s) depending on the size of your wedding. We can discuss more about my team and decide on a plan that works for you and your wedding.

  • Typically, couples book us about 13 months before their wedding date. We encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about our availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame.

  • It is extremely rare that we would ever cancel a booking. In the very rare event that we are unable to photograph your wedding, we will make sure you’re covered by one of our colleagues or contracted assistants. We will also provide you with a list of photographers/videographers from our local network of vendors, so you can find the perfect replacement.
